  2. The templates of this site also meet all points of the U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines. The pages of this site have been automatically and manually tested and approved.

Additional Notes

  1. The navigation of this site is based on the Suckerfish Dropdowns with modifications to make them more accessible and cross-browser compatible. In Internet Explorer for Windows, the links can be used with only the keyboard. The menu itself is made up of an ordered list that is usable with or without CSS or JavaScript.
  2. Where possible, links make use of the 'title' attribute to provide more information about the context of the link, particularly in the navigation.
  3. Link text has been chosen to make sense when viewed out of context. If a link is copied without the page, a user should still understand where the link will take him/her.
  4. No links open new windows unless linking to a document offsite.  If you find one, let us know.
  5. JavaScript, Flash, and CSS are not required to use this site.
  6. All images include 'alt' attributes, and in some cases 'title' attributes. If an image is used purely for visual effect, its 'alt' attribute is blank.
  7. This site uses print CSS to make it more page-friendly when printed. Navigation and Flash elements are removed, but the breadcrumb and footer are left in place for context. Colors are reduced to black and white. For more advanced browsers, the addresses of links are printed immediately following the link text, and many abbreviations and acronyms are extended in parentheses on the printed page as well.
  8. All data tables on this site have been optimized for print, on-screen display, and accessibility.
