Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month

By Leigh Capozzi | on December 31, 2013
News

Humans Were Never Meant to Hibernate

January starts off the new year with Learn To Ski and Snowboard Month! It’s easy to see why this month is one of our favorites, as Oregon resorts love teaching people how to ski and snowboard. This month is the perfect time to get your friends out on the hill with you, or to learn a different snow sport yourself! Each Oregon resort has unique learning programs to meet your needs.

LSSM began in 2009, in a handful of states, when about 20,000 children and adults took lessons through the initiative. Now more than 300 resorts in 33 states offer special learning programs during January. More than 153,000 took lessons last January. Share your snow passion during Learn To Ski and Snowboard Month and YOU can win prizes through Bring a Friend Challenge.
