High Cascade and Windells Join Forces for Summer 2014

By Leigh Capozzi | on April 15, 2014
News

After years spent in pursuit of one common goal, High Cascade Snowboard Camp, Windells Camp, and Windells Academy, are forming a partnership to deliver the premiere year-round snowboard, freeski, skateboard, BMX camps and educational programs. The strategic partnership will build up each brand’s strengths, giving campers at HCSC and Windells an even more memorable experience and access to world-class facilities both on-hill and off.

We are Camp is the newly formed name of High Cascade and Windells. “Our new company’s name is really a statement of what Windells and High Cascade mean to the action sports world,” said High Cascade current President Kevin English who is slated to be the nee company’s CEO. “Both camps were founded over 25 years ago and are the longest running freestyle and snowboard camps in the world. These two amazing brands really are ‘camp’.”

Combined, the camps will offer an unrivaled summer snowboard and ski camp experience with three private terrain parks, Oregon’s best indoor and outdoor skateparks, two high-speed quad chairlifts, four surface tows, four BagJumps, two mini-pipes, and North America’s only Olympic-sized 22’ Summer Superpipe, which serves as the summertime Olympic training facility to the U.S. Snowboarding team and all major contending countries around the world.

So, what does this mean for Windells campers?
Windells Camp and High Cascade will operate as usual this coming summer from each camp’s respective campus. We plan to give our guests and campers the same summer camp experience that both camps have offered in the combined 50 plus years of operations with a few added amenities.

What’s new for Summer 2014?
Windells and HCSC campers will share scheduled access to the 22′ Superpipe, the only one of its size in North America during the months of June, July and August
The Lap Park will be accessible to both Windells and High Cascade’s campers
HCSC campers will have scheduled access to skate the Concrete Jungle and BOB

What’s ahead for Windells and High Cascade?
Together, Windells and HCSC will make Mt. Hood the clear place to be this summer. By uniting two world class summer camps – professional staff, world class facilities and the best private snow parks from June to October – Mt. Hood will become the undisputed leader in year-round action sports camp destinations

Do you want to spend your summer on Mt. Hood but have already signed up for a camp elsewhere?
Don’t worry! We’ll credit your camp tuition the cancellation fee from another camp up to $500 when switching to our camps. Call for more details.
