Mt. Hood Meadows received over a foot of snow from the last storm.
The 2017-18 ski season is underway here in Oregon. There’s plenty of snow in the forecast and loads of recent ski area improvements and upgrades to enjoy.
Timberline Lodge & Ski Area
Timberline opened for the season on October 8, with a full-time opening on November 10. Timberline is currently running seven lifts from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily weather permitting. Night skiing begins Friday, December 22 with the exception of Sunday, December 24. (Check out all the great holiday happenings at Timberline Lodge.)
Mt. Hood Meadows
The ski area opened for full operations Saturday, December 2, and has been rolling out additional terrain and lift openings. Meadows is open for day and night operations every day through Monday, January 1. The exceptions include no night skiing on Sunday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) and the addition of extended night skiing until midnight Sunday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve).
Mt. Hood Meadows is also running free shuttles from the Hood River events site to the ski area throughout the Christmas holiday beginning Saturday, December 23rd – Monday, January 1st, except for Christmas Day. The first morning departures start at 8:30 am and run every half hour through the morning with convenient runs scheduled in the afternoon. The complete shuttle schedule at Mt. Mt. Hood Skibowl
SKibowl is running the Multorpor Chairlift Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23 from 9:00 am – 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm! Stay tuned to Skibowl.com for lift schedules going forward. The Snow Tube & Adventure Park is open every day through Monday, January 1, 2018, with Day Tubing from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and nighttime Cosmic Tubing from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Summit Ski Area
The lift is open every weekend (Friday – Sunday) through the winter, with everyday operations through Christmas Break (December 16 – January 1st). The tube hill is open seven days a week! Summit is offering $15 Fridays all season long – all lift tickets are only $15 all day (5 and under and 70+ still free!).
Mt. Bachelor opened on Saturday, November 18 and has been rolling out additional terrain and lift openings. With the recent opening of Cloudchaser, the resort boasts a total of eight chairs currently running. Outback is the next chairlift expected to open. Keep an eye on the Mt. Bachelor conditions report. Mt. Bachelor is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Hoodoo opened Friday, December 22 with planned operations 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Friday and Saturday. The ski area will offer day skiing from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 24/25th (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and then return to day and night skiing through the winter holiday. Mt. Ashland Ski Area received 10″ of snow from the recent storm and is celebrating with a park session this Saturday and Sunday, December 23rd and 24th. They welcome everyone to join in a winter celebration from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The rope tow-accessed park is free to pass holders and only ten dollars for everyone else.
The lodge will be open with all the usual services, including the renovated T-Bar, Granite Grill.
Warner Canyon is operating daily through Monday, January 1, 2018. The lodge opens at 8:00 am and lifts are operating from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Anthony Lakes kicks off the ski season on Saturday and Sunday, December 23rd/24th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Lifts operating are the Handletow, Magic Carpet, and Rock Garden Chair. All lodge amenities will also be open. The ski area is closed on Christmas Day and is scheduled to be open daily Tuesday, December 26 through New Year’s Day, conditions permitting.
