If we can’t talk about new snow, at least we can talk about sunshine! Consider this not a powder alert, but a bluebird alert.
We’ve got a couple of mainly cloudy days leading into the weekend, but with the high freezing level, the good news is there will be little if any precipitation. We’ve got mainly cloudy weather on tap state-wide through Saturday, as a couple of gracefully weak weather systems graze Oregon as they bring rain farther north.
Bluebird sets in big time Sunday. All slopes should see warm temperatures and sun Sunday through Tuesday at least. It’ll be a great way to escape the valley fog and enjoy some superb alpine weather.
Looking ahead, the dry weather pattern doesn’t look as it will change until next month. This is very similar to last year, when the snow really piled up in February and March. Too soon to tell for sure, but hopefully the powder will being to pile up in February.
Happy Trails, and don’t forget the sunglasses.
