Good stay

We stayed for two nights to visit the Shakespeare festival. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Ashland and one block away from the festival. Our rooms were small with little space for luggage. However, they were very comfortable with good quality pillows, bedding and towels. The shower was a little poor with very low pressure. Breakfast was simple but good quality.

Cute, non chain hotel. Great location within walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shops. The front desk staff were super sweet. Only four stars though for a few reasons: coffee was terrible, breakfast was exactly the same every day, there were no vending or ice machines, and while they text you asking if you need anything, if you text back it isn't answered. I tried twice over 3 days, no reply whatsoever. Oh well.

Stay-away vs. Getaway Package

Stay-Away Package. To the management at Ashland Springs Hotel. We viewed the Deluxe Queen view room online and made a reservation with the “Getaway Package” which included Movie tickets to the adjacent theater and dinner at their in house restaurant named Larks. The Room was not comparable to what we viewed and was difficult to move or walk in. You were unable to supply the Movie Tickets which was on our itinerary. The restaurant was unable to serve us even though it was not busy. Solution: Represent the room images accurately. Don't advertise Movie tickets. Don't sell Dining when unavailable. When prompting the hotel desk that there were 7 tables that were open for the last 75 minutes and we could not wait 3 hours to eat, she told us that there was no refunds of the 75 dollars prepaid for the dining. We were asking to eat, not a refund. We had to find another restaurant. We can think of a number of ways a fine hotel could have handled these situations for their guests. The problems were present and the problem solving was not.

Lovely, sunny Ashland Springs Hotel

Lovely hotel! Warm & inviting decor, charming & helpful staff, & very convenient location in center of very walkable Ashland. Cozy rooms - very clean. Comfortable beds. Small bathrooms - not surprising for a vintage early 20th century structure. LOVED IT!!!

Historic hotel in downtown Ashland

This hotel is beautiful, clean, and pet friendly. My cousin and I were able to walk anywhere downtown, so I would say it’s in the perfect location. It was relatively affordable when I went (admittedly in the off season), but I would 100% stay there during OSF!
